IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator is a Windows PC game on Steam with modest requirements — most of the load is physics, audio and the hand-built machinery animations. The tables below are taken from the official Steam store listing.
Official System Requirements (per the Steam Store Listing)

| Component | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | 64-bit processor and OS |

| RAM | 4 GB |
| GPU | Intel UHD Graphics / AMD Vega 8 (integrated) |

The store listing notes the minimum spec targets roughly 30 FPS at 720p low settings, and recommends a dedicated GPU for a comfortable experience.

Performance Notes
Community reports from the demo suggest:
- CPU-bound at load-in — the turret's interior is fully simulated; frame drops are most likely right after station transitions.
- Audio does heavy lifting — the recoil and machinery sound design is a feature; don't silence it for a few FPS if you can help it.
- Integrated GPUs run it, but at minimum settings. The game's interiors are stylized dieselpunk; medium settings at 1080p look nearly identical to high for most players.
- Demo players on mid-range hardware (GTX 1060-class) at 1080p generally reported smooth frame pacing.
Launch-Day Checklist
- 64-bit OS required — 32-bit systems are not supported.
- DirectX 10 minimum — most modern systems exceed this.
- 5 GB free storage for the install.
- Cloud saves and Steam Family Sharing are supported, so multi-PC households can share the campaign progress.
FAQ Cross-Reference
- Is it on Mac or console? No — Windows/Steam only (see the FAQ).
- Is there a demo to test performance before buying? Yes — the free demo on Steam runs the same engine; if the demo runs, the full game will.
